Andy Fowler Wins Return to Excellence Award

IGM is proud to announce that Andy Fowler is the recipient of the Return to Excellence Award. Andy is the IGM Golf Course Superintendent at Waynesville Golf Resort and Spa.

When the new ownership group consisting of Mr. David Stubbs and Mr. Sammy Carver acquired the Waynesville Inn back in September of 2006, they purposely styled their new operating entity as “Return to Excellence, Inc.” This company was based on the premise of restoring the North Carolina landmark back to its former glory. This is what continues to drive all aspects of the resort’s operation today.

In 2009 a quarterly management recognition award was created. The criteria for the award is first and foremost exemplary performance. It goes to those who not only go above and beyond but in a way that exemplifies the basic tenants of quality and service envisioned at the creation of Return to Excellence concept.

“Andy had always been a good employee for the Resort, however since being supported by IGM he has furthered his leadership skills and gained further knowledge. Andy has grown as a leader and professional turf manager.” commented Mr. Carver, Owner of The Waynesville Inn Golf Resort & Spa.
